Bacterias of the Bacillus genus present ideal characteristics in terms of their biocontrolling activity, due to the ability to form spores, which are tolerant to heat and cold, as well as to extreme pH conditions, pesticides, fertilizers and storage time. These advantages allow the use of this microorganism in the formulation of more stable and viable products.
Other advantages of the Bacillus genus are its rapid growth in liquid medium and the absence of pathogenicity in most cultivated species. Another capacity that this genus presents is the phytoremediation capacity, chelating heavy metals, and also inducing resistance or acclimatizing the soil to various elements that could hinder the growth of the organism or the plant.
